Ege Test Center and MIL-STD-461 Testing
The MIL-STD-461 standard, which we test as the Ege Test Center, is required for the activities of the Ministry of Defense (DoD) and the requirements for the control of electromagnetic interference (EMI) emissions and sensitivity characteristics of electronic, electrical and electromechanical equipment and subsystems designed or supplied for use by their agents. The MIL-STD-461 standard is the basic standard for military electromagnetic compatibility testing at the device and subsystem level.
Dissemination through conductivity (CE-Conducted Emission)
Susceptibility through conductivity (CS-Conducted Susceptibility):
Since the MIL-STD-461 is developed for use on all platforms and different platforms have different needs, all tests specified in the standard are not applied to all platforms.
|CE101||Conductivity Transduction, Power Lines, 30 Hz – 10 kHz|
|CE102||Conductivity Transduction, Power Lines, 10 kHz – 10 MHz|
|CE106||Conductivity Transmission, Antenna Terminal, 10 kHz – 40 GHz|
|CS101||Conductivity Throughput, Power Lines, 30 Hz to 150 kHz|
|CS103||Sensitivity through Conductivity, Antenna Input, Intermodulation, 15 kHz – 10 GHz|
|CS104||Sensitivity through conductivity, antenna input, suppression of unwanted signals, 30 Hz – 20 GHz|
|CS105||Sensitivity through Conductivity, Antenna Input, Cross-Modulation, 30 Hz – 20 GHz|
|CS106||Conductivity through Transition, Transitions, Power Lines|
|CS109||Sensitivity through conductivity, construction current, 60 Hz – 100 kHz|
|CS114||14 Conductivity through Cable Conductivity, Cable Injection, 10 kHz to 200 MHz|
|CS115||Sensitivity through Conductivity, Cable Injection, Impact|
|CS116||Sensitivity through conductivity, suppressed sinusoidal transitions, cables and power lines, 10 kHz to 100 MHz|
|RE101||Radiation Transmission, Magnetic Field, 30 Hz – 100 kHz|
|RE102||Radiation Transmission, Electric Field, 10 kHz – 18 GHz|
|RE103||Radiation Transmission, Antenna Harmonic Outputs, 10 kHz – 40 GHz|
|RS101||Fluorescence Through Radiation, Magnetic Field, 30 Hz – 100 kHz|
|RS103||Fluorescence Through Radiation, Electric Field, 2 MHz – 40 GHz|
|RS105||Temporality through Radiation, Temporary Electromagnetic Field|
For example, the CE101 test is applied to the devices to be used in aircraft, submarine and ground forces,
but not to the devices to be used in aircraft connected to air forces. The CE102 test, on the other hand, is a test for all platforms. Although the standard on which the test is to
be applied to which platforms are defined, the conditions specified in the standard may not be met or the tests not required by the standard may be requested by the customer and the testing needs are only hard to follow from the standard. Therefore, starting from the start of the project test planning and preparation of a Test Plan document is very useful.
